Nature Programs

At Audubon Society of Greater Denver (ASGD), we believe that a personal connection with nature enriches our lives. Whether we are searching the riverbed for an elusive warbler or discovering the diversity of wildflowers on a hillside, experiences in nature have the power to inspire joy and a sense of place. ASGD's nature programs are designed to foster personal connections to nature through awakening awareness and promoting an understanding of our environment.

Classes, Workshops & One-day Field Trips

From morning outings at the Chatfield Wetlands to a 6-week Beginning Birdwatching Class, there is something to interest just about anyone! These programs are also a great way to get involved in ASGD and meet like-minded people.

Travel Adventures

ASGD specializes in unique trips designed for people who want to develop a more intimate relationship with nature. Our trips range from "extreme fun & casual birding" to in-depth explorations of foreign ecosystems. This year's calendar includes excursions to Texas, Panama and an Alaskan cruise.

Kids' and Family Programs at the Audubon Center

You're never too young (or too old) to begin learning about nature! These interactive, hands-on programs involve the entire family. The Audubon Center site serves as an amazing classroom without walls, the perfect setting for discovery and exploration.

School & Youth Group Programs

ASGD's outreach programs and field trips are "hands-on, minds-on" experiences in nature. Our activities are designed to compliment standards and focus on inquiry-based lessons. Experience Audubon in your classroom or at the Audubon Center at Chatfield State Park.
