Fall Celebration (African Vultures)
October 17 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Join us for an evening with Rich Reading
(Please register by October 12)
It’s time for our Fall Celebration, an exciting evening with Denver Audubon members and friends! Learn about our accomplishments and future plans, including our 50th Anniversary celebration in 2019. Then join Richard Reading, Ph.D. as he talks about the growing and serious threats to vultures in Africa and what he and his colleagues are doing to address those threats. We are currently in a crisis situation . . . . with rapidly declining populations of almost all species.
Richard Reading, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the Coalition for International Conservation. He is also the Director for Research and Conservation at Butterfly Pavilion. Dr. Reading serves as an Adjunct Professor within the Department of Biology at the University of Denver (DU), and Scholar in Residence at DU’s Graduate School of Social Work and Affiliate Faculty with the Department of Agricultural Science and Pest Management at Colorado State University.
