Getting Green Laws 2019

Help shape Colorado’s future for conservation! Advocating for green legislation is one of the most impactful ways to help birds and the places they depend upon. At this two-part event—hosted by Denver Audubon and Audubon Rockies—you’ll get to meet your legislators, learn about current bills impacting conservation in Colorado, and receive instruction on how to be an effective advocate for birds. Registration closes on Feb 18. Registration fee only applies to Feb 19. Please register for one or both sessions/days, to help us plan for successful events. Participants do not need to attend both events, but we hope you will! Meeting Places: February 19, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Bethany Lutheran Church, 4500 E. Hampden Ave., Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113 Overview of bills affecting birds and the environment in CO, meet and greet with CO legislators, how to effectively speak up for birds and CO’s wildlife. February 20, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Capitol Building, 200 E Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80203 Legislation boot camp provides an in-depth look at water-related legislation and what it means for conservation, followed by in-person visits with legislators.
