Roxborough State Park
August 8 @ 7:15 am – 10:30 am
Join us for a mid-summer walk through the unique habitats of the beautiful Fountain Valley Trail and Roxborough’s stunning red rocks. We will look and listen for the many Roxborough spring arrivals, as well as year-round residents. We could see swifts, swallows, flycatchers, bluebirds, jays, wrens, vireos, warblers, and hummingbirds, as well as, sparrows, goldfinches, and raptors. This trip is for all levels of birders, and beginners are especially welcome. We will start early to avoid the heat. What to bring: binoculars, hat, sun screen, water, and a snack if desired.
Meeting Place: Roxborough State Park Visitor’s Center.
Leader: Bea Weaver, Audubon Master Birder
Activity Level: Easy, 2.4 mile hike with small change in elevation
