Spring Magic in Nebraska
March 26, 2020 @ 4:00 pm – March 29, 2020 @ 6:00 pm
Each spring, more than 80 percent of the world’s Sandhill Cranes converge on Nebraska’s Platte River Valley. Along with them come millions of migrating ducks and geese in the neighboring Rainwater Basin. Experience the vast expanse of open sky flapping with millions of wings and a chorus of calls. At the same time, in the grasslands of Nebraska, male Sharp-tailed Grouse and Greater Prairie Chickens are vying for the attention of hens. In their raucous lek, they cluck, whoop, gobble, expose tail coverts, and flash their orange and yellow balloon-like air sacs. Get ready for spring magic in Nebraska!
