Local Field Trips This Month

Our local field trips, led by an amazing group of volunteers and Audubon Master Birders, take you to locations throughout Denver and beyond, where you can go birding in a variety of unique habitats.

Family Programs

Adult Classes

Adults enhance their birding and outdoor experiences through a variety of programs, such as Hugh and Urling Kingery’s popular Beginning Birdwatching and other classes led by our expert naturalists and Audubon Master Birders.

Audubon Master Birder

Take your birding skills to the next level in this intense, one year program. Advanced certification sharpens your knowledge about identification, habitats, and bird families. Includes classroom sessions and field trips.

School Programs

School classes, home school groups, and scouts in grades K-12 experience nature firsthand either at their location or at the Audubon Center at Chatfield. Denver Audubon programs meet the new Colorado Academic Standards in Science.

Summer Camp

Children explore nature as they go hiking, pond mucking, river walking, and birding in the amazing habitats at the Audubon Center. Our summer camp is in partnership with Colorado Academy.
