In partnership with Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Denver Audubon has offered this unique, up-close experience for several years. The program provides a unique look at why bird banding is so vital to our shared conservation efforts.

As a Bird Banding Tour Guide, you’ll be the first friendly face participants meet! You’ll welcome guests to the Kingery Nature Center, lead a scenic 10–15 minute nature walk to the bird banding station, and help the public discover and understand the significance of this essential research.

When: Weekday and weekend mornings (2–3 hour shifts) during peak migration seasons (April–May and October).

Where: Kingery Nature Center.

Requirements: No prior birding experience is necessary! We’ll provide the training, you just need a passion for sharing nature with others.
