📈  Gifts of Stock

We gratefully accept stock donations through our Fidelity investment account. This can be a tax-smart way to give by avoiding capital gains and deducting the full fair market value.

🏦  Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)

Recommend a grant from your DAF to Denver Audubon. This allows you to support our mission while potentially gaining tax advantages. Talk to your financial advisor to learn more.


🏠  IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions

If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a  tax-free distribution from your IRA  to Denver Audubon. This can satisfy required minimum distributions and reduce your taxable income.
Consult your tax advisor to see if this giving method is right for you.


🎓 Colorado Early Education Tax Credit

Denver Audubon is an approved early child care provider, which means gifts to our early childhood programs may qualify for the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit.

  • Donors may be eligible for a 50% state income tax credit on qualifying gifts.
  • To ensure eligibility, please contact us before making your gift so we can allocate it to our early childhood programs and complete the required state form (DR 1317).
  • Gifts will be restricted to support early childhood programming.

Legacy and Tribute Giving


💼  Planned Giving & Bequests

Including Denver Audubon in your will or estate plan is a powerful way to leave a lasting legacy. You can:

  • Designate a specific amount or percentage.
  • Name Denver Audubon as a residual or contingent beneficiary.


Sample language:  “I bequeath [specific amount or percentage] to Denver Audubon, a nonprofit organization located at 11280 Waterton Rd, Littleton, CO 80125. EIN: 23-7063701.”
