Emily brings a love of nature, creativity, and child-led learning to her role as Guide at the Denver Audubon Nature Preschool. A Colorado native, she earned her degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado and has years of experience teaching in both Pre-K and Kindergarten. She holds a Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential Level 4, a Nature-Based Educator Level 1 Certification, and is CPR/First Aid certified.

Emily’s approach to teaching is rooted in curiosity, connection, and a belief that children learn best through meaningful experiences in the natural world. Her background in hands-on, experiential learning and her passion for nature-based education continue to shape the way she guides and learns alongside children.

She lives in Arvada with her husband, Jay, and tween child, Sadie. In her free time, Emily enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors, creating handmade crafts, and spending time with her family and their pets.
