Help Our Native Gardens Thrive! The native gardens surrounding the Kingery Nature Center do more than just look beautiful; they provide essential resources for our birds and serve as a living classroom for our community.

By volunteering in the gardens, you’re fostering a healthy habitat for the local and migratory birds that call this area home. Whether you have a green thumb or just want to get your hands dirty for a good cause, any time you can lend is deeply appreciated—by our team and our birds alike!

Ways to Get Involved:

Garden Leader: Perfect for social gardeners! Help lead our community maintenance sessions and share your knowledge with fellow volunteers. There may also be opportunities to lead a service group.

Adopt-a-Plot: Ideal for those with a busy or shifting schedule. Take ownership of a specific garden section and care for it on your own terms.

Activities: Planting, weeding, trimming, and watering to keep the habitat healthy.

When: May through September (Weekday and weekend mornings).

Where: Kingery Nature Center.
