We believe birding is for everyone! Join us for Birders on Bikes, is an exciting partnership with Cycling Without Age designed to connect people with limited mobility to the South Platte Trail.

As a volunteer, you’ll cycle alongside a group of trishaws, stopping at scenic spots to share insights about local wildlife, birds, and native plants. We provide participants with binoculars and bird guides, you provide the expertise and enthusiasm!

When: Tuesdays, twice per month (April–August), 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Enjoy flexible scheduling—just sign up for the dates that work for you.

Where: Meet in front of Pedal bike shop for all rides.

Requirements: You don’t need to be a bird expert to join us! If you’re comfortable identifying common local birds and enjoy sharing that knowledge with others, you’re a perfect fit.

We ask that volunteers have their own bike, helmet, and binoculars, and are able to cycle about 6 miles on flat, paved trails. Above all, just bring your passion for nature! We’ll provide all the training or shadowing you need to feel confident.
